A BPL card looks simple until a rain break or a batting order change turns a winning slip into a void one. The four markets below carry the most money in Bangladesh, and each has a settlement rule that only becomes interesting once it costs you something.
একটা BPL কার্ড সরলই মনে হয়, যতক্ষণ না বৃষ্টির বিরতি বা ব্যাটিং অর্ডারের বদল জেতা স্লিপটাকে বাতিল স্লিপে বদলে দেয়। নিচের চারটি মার্কেটেই বাংলাদেশে সবচেয়ে বেশি টাকা ঘোরে, আর প্রত্যেকটির একটা নিষ্পত্তির নিয়ম আছে যা কেবল আপনার কিছু খরচ হওয়ার পরেই আকর্ষণীয় হয়ে ওঠে।

Pick a side and you are paid if they win. In a limited-overs match a tied result usually voids the bet and returns the stake rather than losing it, but a Duckworth-Lewis result counts as a normal win for whichever side is ahead. If a match is abandoned without a result, everything is voided and stakes returned.

The book posts a line — say 168.5 for a first innings — and you take the over or the under. Settlement uses the official scorecard, which means extras count and a rain-shortened innings usually voids the market entirely rather than settling on a reduced total. Read whether the line is for one innings or the whole match, because both are offered and they look nearly identical on a phone.

You back the highest individual score in a named team's innings. The rule that catches people is what happens to a player who does not bat: most books void the selection and return the stake, but a minority settle it as a loser. Check that line before backing anyone below number five, because a lower-order pick in a chase that ends early is exactly the scenario the rule was written for.

Live prices move after every ball and the interface is built to keep you tapping. Margins on in-play markets are wider than on pre-match prices because the book is pricing under time pressure and charging for the privilege. If you bet in-play, decide your total stake for the match before the toss and treat it as spent.

Divide one by each decimal price and add the results. Two sides priced at 1.90 give 0.526 plus 0.526, or 105.2 percent. The 5.2 points above one hundred is the book's cut, taken whether you win or lose. A market at 102 percent is cheap; one at 112 percent — as many novelty and accumulator markets are — is not worth playing at all.
